Richard Howell offers a personal service to architects, planning consultants and individuals, researching, advising and reporting on the historical and contextual background of buildings, conservation areas, landscapes, archaeological sites etc. He has been involved with this work for over ten years, and in addition to his degree in Landscape Studies from the University of Sussex also holds a Certificate in Vernacular Architecture from the University of Oxford. He has written a number of articles for both national and local publications, gives talks to groups and societies, and is an active member of the Vernacular Architecture Group, the Sussex Archaeological Society and the West Sussex Archives Society.
